Julianne Ross Allcorn
Julianne’s senses are reawakened as she isolates in the Hunter Valley.
Julianne self-isolates for six weeks on her daughter’s return from London. She finds solace in the Hunter Valley and this awakens and renews her senses and creativity. Her extraordinary history forges her unique, vivid approach to drawing on wood and cements her infamy as ‘the bee lady’. Julianne became a Finalist in 6 Art prize awards and was awarded The Trustees Watercolour Prize 2020 in the Wynne. Wynne is one of Australia’s longest-running art prizes held by Art Gallery NSW.
My two loves in life besides my family are dancing and creating artworks. Without these, I am not whole. Drawing is meditation. Teaching is a reward.
