Watcha Doin' Today
In March 2020 independent filmmaker Loretta Farrell embarked on an experimental art focus documentary series. She was asking artists and creatives to capture how it felt to live through this time in history. The series captures a moment in time through the eyes of Australian creatives each short profile between 7-9 mins long. The participants aged between 20 to 65, are artist, musician, writers, creative teachers from all around Australia and the UK.
The stories demonstrate how art offers relief and connection, to ourselves, and the world around us. It’s the connection they find to themselves through their art that provides a compelling insight into why art is so important to us all. These gentle, authentic stories how personal well-being is profoundly improved through the outlet that creativity and self-expression afford.
Creativity in its infinite guises is so cathartic to the human condition, to simply observe it can be therapeutic. WATCHA DOIN TODAY is a series of inspiring, intimate stories from a diverse group of artists, capturing how creative expression can clear the mind, feed the soul and heal the heart.
